the basics.
class meets for 2.5 hour Zoom workshops, 5 consecutive weeks.
poetry, hybrid poetry, image/visual poetry, experiments all welcome and encouraged.
tuition price: $150-$200 sliding scale.

you will submit an offering and get workshopped every week in class.
you will receive critique, feedback letters, book and media suggestions, publication suggestions, optional readings and generative prompts, all in a small class setting.
you will be added to a community of other writers and artists.
the instructor.
I’ve taught creative writing and hybrid poetics courses at the University of Pittsburgh, Massachusettes College of Liberal Arts, Minnesota Center for Book Arts, and at the Poetry Foundation. I think the best workshops are community-oriented, generous, and open to experiments. In this course you will not be limited by genre, whatever you call a “poem” will be critiqued with care by a curated group of readers. My goal is for students to find their way toward a sustained project, make meaningful connections, improve their writing, and stay accountable to their art.
